Medicine, used during disorders of venous circulation. Contains extract of horse chestnut, has antiexudative, venotonic action. Established that the fruit extract of horse chestnut reduces the concentration of lysosomal enzymes, as a result of this reduced decay of mucopolysaccharides in the walls of capillaries. Aescusan reduces vascular permeability, preventing the filtration of low-molecular proteins, electrolytes and water in the intercellular space. In the randomized double-blind and cross-sectional studies showed reduction in transcapillary filtration and a significant decrease in edema, a decrease in feelings of heaviness, fatigue, tension, itching and pain
