    Pharmacological properties
    Pharmacodynamics refers to Mebgidrolin antihistamines, H1-blocker is a histamine receptor. Mebgidrolin weakens spasmogenic effect of histamine on bronchial smooth muscle, intestine, and its effect on vascular permeability. Unlike first-generation antihistamines (diphenhydramine, suprastin, etc.) has a less pronounced sedative and hypnotic effect. It has mild anticholinergic m and anesthetic properties.
     
    Pharmacokinetics
    Rapidly absorbed from the digestive tract. Bioavailability of 40-60%. The therapeutic effect develops after 15-30 min, the maximum effect is observed after 1-2 h duration of effect up to 2 days. The drug is virtually does not penetrate the blood-brain barrier and is metabolized in the liver by methylation, induces liver enzymes excreted by the kidneys.
     
    Statement

    Application
    Diazolin ® is administered orally after a meal, adults and children 12 years old, 100 mg - 200 mg 1-2 times a day. Higher doses for adults: a single dose - 300 mg daily dose - 600 mg. Children 5-12 years 50 mg administered 2-3 times a day, 3-5 years 50 mg 1-3 times. Duration of treatment depends on the severity and course of illness.
     
    Side effect
    Part of the digestive system: diazolin ® may irritate the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract, sometimes manifested dyspeptic symptoms (heartburn, nausea, epigastric pain, etc.).
    CNS: dizziness, paresthesia, fatigue, drowsiness, blurred vision, slow reaction rates.

    Contraindications.
