Gynoflor vaginal tablets #12
Gynoflor pharmachologic effect:
Lactobacillus acidophilus, are part of the drug Gynoflor are non-pathogenic bacteria, forming a healthy vaginal flora. They perform a protective function in the vagina by creating an acidic pH of the internal environment, which is unfavorable for the development and reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms. Lactobacillus acidophilus possess the ability to ferment vaginal epithelial glycogen to lactic acid. As a result, the pH in the vagina is supported by 4 - 4.5, which is not only unfavorable for the pathogen, but is optimum for the life of Lactobacillus acidophilus. Bacteria belonging to the drug during the life also produce bacteriocins and hydrogen peroxide, which have a bactericidal effect against pathogenic organisms.
Estriol - synthesized compound by the action similar to endogenous human hormones that are produced by the ovaries. No effect on the endometrium, acts only on the mucosal epithelium of the vagina. It stimulates the reproduction and growth of epithelial cells of the vaginal mucosa, significantly improving the condition of the vaginal epithelium. The resulting mature vaginal epithelium is not only a natural barrier to infection, but also contains glycogen, necessary for normal functioning of Lactobacillus acidophilus.
The drug is due to vaginal insertion of exogenous estriol and Lactobacillus acidophilus leads to normalization of the vaginal microflora, reduces the risk of local infections, improves the condition of the mucosa.
Part of the preparation Gynoflor lactose as Lactobacillus acidophilus fermented to lactic acid.
The drug acts locally and has no systemic effects. The release of the active ingredients of the drug takes place gradually, with the disintegration of the tablet. The action begins a few hours after injection.
Estriol intravaginal application when absorbed into the bloodstream, reaching a maximum concentration in plasma 3 hours after administration. Estriol Not accumulates in the body. It does not affect the production of endogenous estrogen hormones, as endogenous analog of estriol is the final step in the metabolism of estrogen hormones. Excreted in the urine within 8 hours.
